Problem

A steel SCUBA cylinder has an internal volume of 10.0 L. It is filled with compressed air to an absolute pressure of 150 bar at a temperature of 300 K. Use molar mass of air = 29 g mol⁻¹ and Avogadro constant N_A = 6.02 × 10^23 mol⁻¹. (i) Calculate the number of moles of air contained in the cylinder. (ii) Determine the mass of air in the cylinder, giving your answer in kilograms to three significant figures. (iii) If all the air from the cylinder is allowed to expand until it reaches STP, find the total volume it would occupy. Express your answer in cubic metres.
