Problem

A copper cube of mass 200 g200\text{ g} slides down a rough inclined plane of inclination 37∘37^\circ at constant speed. Assuming that the loss in mechanical energy is converted into thermal energy of the copper block, find the increase in temperature of the block as it slides through 60 cm60\text{ cm}. The specific heat capacity of copper is 420 J kg−1K−1420\text{ J kg}^{-1}\text{K}^{-1}. Take g=10 m s−2g=10\text{ m s}^{-2}.
