Problem

Let S={ (n, n2−2n)∣n∈Z }S = \{\,(n,\, n^{2} - 2n) \mid n \in \mathbb Z\,\}. (i) Show that every point of the set SS lies on the curve y=x2−2xy = x^{2} - 2x. (ii) Determine all integers nn for which the corresponding point in SS also lies on the parabola y2=4xy^{2} = 4x and is located in the first quadrant. (iii) List explicitly the points that satisfy the conditions obtained in part (ii).
