Problem

A farmer owns two triangular plots of land. The first plot has vertices P(1,1),  Q(6,1)P(1,1),\;Q(6,1) and R(4,5)R(4,5). The second plot shares side PQPQ with the first plot and has its third vertex at S(7,4)S(7,4). The farmer wishes to compare the sizes of the two plots. (i) Calculate the area of each plot. (ii) Determine the ratio of the areas of the two plots. (iii) By what percentage is the larger plot bigger than the smaller one? (Round your answer to two decimal places.)
