Problem

A point charge of +6.0 μC+6.0\,\mu\text{C} is held stationary at the origin. Using k=9.0×109 N m2C−2k=9.0\times10^{9}\,\text{N m}^2\text{C}^{-2}, answer the following: (a) Calculate the magnitude of the electric field at the point (0.10 m,  0.00 m)(0.10\,\text{m},\;0.00\,\text{m}). (b) Find the xx- and yy-components of the electric field at the point (0.10 m,  0.10 m)(0.10\,\text{m},\;0.10\,\text{m}). (c) Determine the magnitude of the resultant electric field at the point given in part (b).
