Problem

Consider the cubic polynomial F(x)=kx3+2x2−5x+c,F(x)=kx^3+2x^2-5x+c, where kk and cc are real constants. The graph of FF passes through the points (0,12)(0,12) and (1,0)(1,0). (i) Find the values of cc and kk. (ii) State the y-intercept of the graph of FF in coordinate form once cc and kk have been determined. (iii) Verify that the point (1,0)(1,0) lies on the curve with the values of kk and cc found in part (i).
