Problem

A cube has edge length s=243325s=\sqrt[5]{\dfrac{243}{32}} metres. (i) Express ss in exponent form without using the radical symbol. (ii) Using the result of part (i), find expressions for the surface area 6s26s^{2} and the volume s3s^{3} of the cube in exponent form with positive rational exponents. (iii) Simplify each exponent in part (ii) so that no radicals remain. (iv) Calculate the numerical value of the volume correct to two decimal places.
