Problem

Let A(2,−3)A(2,-3) and B(10,5)B(10,5) be fixed points in the plane. (i) Prove that the set of all points PP for which PA=PBPA=PB is the perpendicular bisector of ABAB, and find its Cartesian equation. (ii) If PP is the point on this locus whose xx-coordinate is 44, determine the coordinates of PP. (iii) Through PP draw a line whose slope is 32\dfrac{3}{2}. A point QQ lies on this line such that PQ=6PQ=6 units. Calculate the coordinates of all possible positions of QQ, showing every step of your working.
