Problem

When light is incident on the photovoltaic cell, its energy is used to create free electrons and holes in the depletion zone. (1) What effect will the electric field in the depletion zone have on these free electrons and holes? (2) What will this produce? (3) If the two layers have an external electrical connection, what will happen?
