Problem

A rectangular loop has a fixed width of 0.20 m and a length L that is increasing at a constant rate of 0.010 m s⁻¹. At the same instant, the magnitude of the perpendicular magnetic field passing through the loop is 0.30 T and is decreasing at 0.040 T s⁻¹. Find the value of L (in metres) at that moment for which the net induced emf in the loop is zero.
