Problem
A tungsten filament in an electric bulb behaves approximately like a perfect blackbody. When it is glowing, the wavelength at which its emitted radiation is most intense is found to be 580nm.
(i) Calculate the temperature of the filament in kelvin.
(ii) Express this temperature in degree Celsius, correct to the nearest whole number.
