Problem

Without using a calculator, rank the following five numbers in descending order and justify each comparison: tan⁡32∘,  cot⁡58∘,  tan⁡58∘,  cot⁡32∘,  1\tan 32^{\circ},\;\cot 58^{\circ},\;\tan 58^{\circ},\;\cot 32^{\circ},\;1. (i) Establish the complementary relationships, if any, among the given ratios. (ii) Use the behaviour of tan⁡θ\tan\theta in (0∘,90∘)(0^{\circ},90^{\circ}) to compare each pair that you find necessary. (iii) Write the final descending order of all five numbers, providing clear reasoning for every step in your comparison.
