Answer the following questions related to the working of a refracting telescope in normal adjustment.
(i) The magnifying power of such a telescope carries a negative sign. Explain what this sign signifies about the orientation of the final image.
(ii) Keeping the focal length of the objective fixed, describe qualitatively how the length of the telescope tube will change if an eyepiece of shorter focal length is used. Give a reason for your answer.
