(i) Define balanced forces and unbalanced forces.
(ii) The first student pushes the bench towards the east with a force of 10 N while the second pushes towards the west with a force of 10 N. Find the net force acting on the bench and state whether the forces are balanced or unbalanced. Explain the expected motion of the bench.
(iii) The same bench is now acted upon by a 12 N force towards the east and a 7 N force towards the west. Find the net force. Explain whether the bench will accelerate, and if yes, in which direction.
