Problem

Inside a sealed, perfectly insulating box, 0.25 kg0.25\,\text{kg} of aluminum at 200 ∘ ⁣C200\,^{\circ}\!\text{C} is placed in contact with 0.50 kg0.50\,\text{kg} of water at 20 ∘ ⁣C20\,^{\circ}\!\text{C}. Assuming no phase changes and using cAl=900 J/(kg K)c_{\text{Al}} = 900\,\text{J/(kg\,K)} and cwater=4200 J/(kg K)c_{\text{water}} = 4200\,\text{J/(kg\,K)}, determine the final equilibrium temperature of the contents of the box.
