Problem

A pie chart representing the weather conditions in a city over 180180 days is described below: Sunny – 150∘150^{\circ}, Cloudy – 60∘60^{\circ}, Rainy – 90∘90^{\circ}, Windy – 30∘30^{\circ}, Foggy – 30∘30^{\circ}. Using this description of the pie chart, answer the following questions: (i) Convert each sector angle into the corresponding number of days for every weather condition. Show your calculations clearly. (ii) Find the probability that a randomly selected day was Rainy. (iii) Determine the probability that the day was either Rainy or Cloudy. (iv) Calculate the probability that the day was not Sunny. (v) Using the probabilities obtained above, show that the sum of the probabilities of all five weather conditions is 11. Name the probability property illustrated.
