Problem

A transversal intersects two parallel lines forming a pair of consecutive interior angles. One of the consecutive interior angles measures (3x+21)∘(3x + 21)^\circ and the other measures (7x−1)∘(7x - 1)^\circ. (i) Write an equation in xx using the relationship between consecutive interior angles. (ii) Solve for xx. (iii) Find the numerical measures of the two consecutive interior angles. (iv) Determine the measure of an alternate exterior angle corresponding to the first angle you found.
