Problem

The implicit relation x2y+y3=6xx^{2}y+y^{3}=6x defines a curve in the xyxy-plane. (1) Compute dydx\dfrac{dy}{dx} in terms of xx and yy, clearly indicating each differentiation step. (2) Obtain an expression for the second derivative d2ydx2\dfrac{d^{2}y}{dx^{2}} in terms of xx and yy. Simplify fully. (3) Evaluate dydx\dfrac{dy}{dx} and d2ydx2\dfrac{d^{2}y}{dx^{2}} at the point (2,1)(2,1). Based on these values, discuss the concavity of the curve at that point and describe the behavior of the curve near (2,1)(2,1)."
