Problem

Consider the circle with centre at the origin and radius 55 units. The points P(3,4)P(3,4) and Q(4,3)Q(4,3) lie on this circle. Answer the following. (i) Verify that the points PP and QQ lie on the given circle. (ii) Find the coordinates of the midpoint MM of PQPQ and hence determine the length OMOM. (iii) Calculate the length of chord PQPQ. (iv) Determine the slope of PQPQ and the slope of OMOM. What do you observe about the product of these slopes?
