Problem

The following six nuclides are given: 2965 ⁣Cu,  2963 ⁣Cu,  3065 ⁣Zn,  3067 ⁣Zn,  2864 ⁣Ni,  30? ⁣Zn^{65}_{29}\!\text{Cu},\; ^{63}_{29}\!\text{Cu},\; ^{65}_{30}\!\text{Zn},\; ^{67}_{30}\!\text{Zn},\; ^{64}_{28}\!\text{Ni},\; ^{?}_{30}\!\text{Zn} (the mass number AA of the last nuclide is unknown). (i) Group the first five nuclides into all possible sets of isotopes, isobars and isotones. Give a short justification for each grouping. (ii) The unknown zinc nuclide is stated to be an isotone of 2965 ⁣Cu^{65}_{29}\!\text{Cu}. Determine its mass number AA. (iii) For the zinc nuclide obtained in part (ii), identify one nuclide from the original list that is simultaneously an isobar but not an isotope. Explain your choice.
