Problem

When the reaction SO3(g)+NO(g)⇌NO2(g)+SO2(g)\text{SO}_3(\text{g}) + \text{NO}(\text{g}) \rightleftharpoons \text{NO}_2(\text{g}) + \text{SO}_2(\text{g}) was carried out at a particular temperature, the equilibrium constant was found to be 6.78. The initial equimolar concentrations of SO3\text{SO}_3 and NO\text{NO} were 0.030 mol dm−30.030 \text{ mol dm}^{-3}. Calculate the equilibrium concentration of each component in the mixture once equilibrium is established.
