Problem

For the polynomial g(x)=x3+kx2−5x+6g(x)=x^{3}+kx^{2}-5x+6, the remainder obtained on division by (x−2)(x-2) is equal to the remainder obtained on division by (x+3)(x+3). (i) Write an algebraic equation in kk that expresses this condition. (ii) Solve the equation to find the value of kk. (iii) Using the value of kk found in part (ii), compute the common remainder mentioned above.
