Problem

Statement I If a=2i^+k^a = 2\hat{i} + \hat{k} , b=3j^+4k^b = 3\hat{j} + 4\hat{k} and c=λa+μbc = \lambda a + \mu b are coplanar, then c=4a−bc = 4a - b . Statement II A set vectors a1,a2,a3,…,ana_1, a_2, a_3, \dots, a_n is said to be linearly independent, if every relation of the form l1a1+l2a2+l3a3+⋯+lnan=0l_1 a_1 + l_2 a_2 + l_3 a_3 + \dots + l_n a_n = 0 implies that l1=l2=l3=⋯=ln=0l_1 = l_2 = l_3 = \dots = l_n = 0 (scalar).
