Problem

Let ϕ(x,y)=0\phi(x, y) = 0 be the equation of a circle. If ϕ(0,λ)=0\phi(0, \lambda) = 0 has equal roots λ=2,2\lambda = 2, 2 and ϕ(λ,0)=0\phi(\lambda, 0) = 0 has roots λ=45,5\lambda = \frac{4}{5}, 5 , then the centre of the circle is (1) (2,2910)\left(2, \frac{29}{10}\right) (2) (2910,2)\left(\frac{29}{10}, 2\right) (3) (−2,2910)\left(-2, \frac{29}{10}\right) (4) None of these
