Problem

A tugboat of mass 8.0×105 kg8.0\times10^{5}\,\text{kg} is initially at rest in still water. Its engines are capable of delivering a constant mechanical power of 3.0 MW3.0\,\text{MW} beginning at t=0t=0. Neglect all forms of resistance. (1) Determine the speed of the tugboat after 120 s120\,\text{s} have elapsed. (2) Calculate the distance the tugboat has traveled during this 120 s120\,\text{s} interval. (3) Compute the average net force acting on the tugboat during the same time interval.
