Problem

The point PP is the intersection of the lines 3x−y=7andx+y=5.3x-y=7 \quad \text{and} \quad x+y=5. Let Q(6,2)Q(6,2) and R(6,−4)R(6,-4) be two other points in the plane. (i) Determine the coordinates of PP. (ii) Using PP, QQ and RR as vertices, calculate the area of triangle PQRPQR. (iii) Find the length of side QRQR and hence obtain the perimeter of triangle PQRPQR. (Leave 5\sqrt{5} in your answer if it occurs.)
