Problem

A brick wall of area 2.0 m22.0\,\text{m}^2 separates a room at 35∘C35^{\circ}\text{C} from the outside air at 15∘C15^{\circ}\text{C}. The thermal conductivity of brick is 0.6 W m−1 K−10.6\,\text{W m}^{-1}\,\text{K}^{-1}. Calculate the minimum thickness the wall must have so that the heat flow rate through it does not exceed 30 W30\,\text{W}. Give your answer in metres.
