A torch bulb is marked "3.0 V, 0.30 A". The bulb is first used with fresh cells and later with partially discharged cells.
(i) When the bulb operates at its marked values, calculate the resistance of its filament.
(ii) The bulb is connected to two identical dry cells of 1.5 V each connected in series. Assuming the cells supply their marked voltage, determine the current through the bulb.
(iii) After some time the same series combination of cells provides only 2.4 V. Find the new current through the bulb and the percentage decrease in current compared to part (ii).
