A circuit consists of two 10Ω resistors connected in parallel. This parallel combination is then joined in series with a 5Ω resistor and placed across a 200V d.c. supply.
(i) Determine the equivalent resistance of the entire circuit.
(ii) Calculate the current supplied by the source.
(iii) Find the power dissipated in each of the three resistors.
(iv) Compute the total electrical energy converted into heat in the whole circuit in 2 minutes.
