Problem
Three numbers are 84, 126 and 210.
(a) Write the prime factorisation of each number, expressing prime powers in exponential form.
(b) Find the HCF of the three numbers and state it (i) in exponential form and (ii) in expanded form.
(c) Find the LCM of the three numbers and state it (i) in exponential form and (ii) in expanded form.
(d) Hence determine (i) the greatest number that will exactly divide all the three given numbers and (ii) the smallest number which is exactly divisible by each of the three given numbers.
