Problem

A line is represented in point-slope form as y−3=0 (x−2)y-3=0\,(x-2). Answer the following questions related to this line. (i) Convert the given equation to slope-intercept form and state the slope and the yy-intercept. (ii) Plot the line on a pair of coordinated axes and mark any three distinct points that lie on it. (iii) Explain, with reference to the equation, why every point on this line has the same yy-coordinate. (iv) The lines x=−4x=-4 and x=6x=6 together with the given line and the xx-axis bound a rectangle. Determine the area of this rectangle.
