Problem

Consider the polynomial h(x)=2x4−3x3−9x2+8x+12h(x)=2x^{4}-3x^{3}-9x^{2}+8x+12. (i) Show that x=2x=2 is a zero of h(x)h(x). (ii) Factorise h(x)h(x) completely without using a calculator. (iii) List all the zeros of h(x)h(x) and indicate how many times each zero occurs in the factorisation.
