Problem
An observer A chooses the rightward direction as positive on the common x-axis. A second observer B keeps the same origin but elects the leftward direction as positive.
(i) If a particle’s coordinate according to observer A is xA=+4m, find its coordinate xB according to observer B.
(ii) State briefly why the numerical value of the displacement between any two points remains unchanged when only the positive direction on an axis is reversed.
