Problem

Lines l1,l2,l3l_1, l_2, l_3 are parallel and are intersected successively by a single transversal tt at points A,B,CA, B, C (in that order). The angle between tt and l1l_1 at AA is (2x+25)∘(2x + 25)^{\circ}, measured above l1l_1. The angle between tt and l2l_2 at BB on the alternate interior side is (3x−5)∘(3x - 5)^{\circ}. (i) Find the value of xx. (ii) Calculate the measure of the angle that tt makes with l3l_3 at CC which is in the same relative position as the angle at AA. (iii) Verify that the three angles formed at A,B,A, B, and CC on the same side of the transversal constitute an arithmetic progression, showing all steps.
