Problem

A hollow conducting shell is connected to ground. While it is grounded, a point charge of +5 nC+5\,\text{nC} is placed at the center of the cavity inside the shell. The grounding wire is then removed, and finally the point charge is carefully extracted from the cavity without touching the shell. State the net charge that remains on the shell and justify your answer in one or two sentences.
