Problem
Consider the two numbers 37 and 752. Answer the following.
(i) Express each number using rational exponents only.
(ii) Rewrite both numbers so that they have the same base and a common rational exponent. Hence decide which of the two numbers is greater.
(iii) State the property of positive real numbers with respect to order that justifies why the comparison made in part (ii) is valid when the same integer power is applied to both numbers.
