Problem

An unstable particle has a lifetime of 5.0×10−85.0 \times 10^{-8} s as measured in its rest frame. The particle is moving in a laboratory with a speed of 0.95c0.95c with respect to the lab. (1) Calculate the lifetime of the particle according to an observer at rest in the laboratory. (2) Calculate the distance travelled by the particle before it decays, according to the observer in the laboratory.
