Problem

A positively charged particle of charge 1 C1\,\text{C} and mass 40 g40\,\text{g} is revolving along a circle of radius 40 cm40\,\text{cm} with velocity 5 m/s5\,\text{m/s} in a uniform magnetic field, with centre at the origin OO in the xyxy-plane. At t=0t=0, the particle was at (0,0.4 m,0)(0,0.4\,\text{m},0) and its velocity was directed along the positive xx-direction. Another particle of charge 1 C1\,\text{C} and mass 10 g10\,\text{g}, moving uniformly parallel to the zz-direction with velocity 40π m/s\frac{40}{\pi}\,\text{m/s}, collides with the revolving particle at t=0t=0 and gets stuck to it. Neglect gravitational and Coulomb forces. Calculate the xx-, yy-, and zz-coordinates of the combined particle at t=π40 st=\frac{\pi}{40}\,\text{s}.
