Problem

A resistor is connected across a variable-voltage supply. The experimenter notes that the resistor behaves ideally so that the ratio of potential difference to current remains constant. The following observations are incomplete: Current II (mA): 20, 40, __, 100 Potential difference VV (V): 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, __ (i) Complete the blank entries in the table. (ii) Determine the resistance of the resistor from any one complete VV–II pair. (iii) Using all four complete readings, find the average value of the resistance and express it with its unit.
