Problem

X(s)→dil HClY↑→NaOHNa2[Fe(CN)5(NO)]Purple solution\text{X(s)} \xrightarrow{\text{dil HCl}} \text{Y} \uparrow \xrightarrow[\text{NaOH}]{\text{Na}_2[\text{Fe}(\text{CN})_5(\text{NO})]} \text{Purple solution} Gas YY has been allowed to react with following species in neutral/acidic medium :
(a) FeCl3\text{FeCl}_3(b) CuSO4\text{CuSO}_4(c) BaCl2\text{BaCl}_2(d) SO2\text{SO}_2
(e) Cr2O72−\text{Cr}_2\text{O}_7^{2-}(f) CH3COONa\text{CH}_3\text{COONa}(g) Hg2+\text{Hg}^{2+}
Then calculate value of (P+Q−R)(P + Q - R) PP : Number of species which undergoes redox reaction with gas YY . QQ : Number of species with which gas YY undergoes precipitation. RR : Number of species with which gas YY produce no observable change.
