Problem

The curve xy+λ=0xy+\lambda=0 passes through the point (2, −λ2)(2,\, -\dfrac{\lambda}{2}), where λ\lambda is a non-zero real constant. (i) Calculate dydx\dfrac{dy}{dx} at a general point on the curve. (ii) Determine the value of λ\lambda for which the tangent at the point with xx-coordinate 22 has slope 33. (iii) For the value of λ\lambda obtained in part (ii), write the equation of the corresponding tangent.
