Problem

An angle θ\theta satisfies sin⁡θ=−32\sin \theta = -\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{2} with 0∘<θ≤1080∘0^{\circ} < \theta \le 1080^{\circ}. Answer the following without using a calculator. (i) List all values of θ\theta (in degrees) that satisfy the given condition within the stated interval. (ii) For each value of θ\theta obtained in part (i), write the corresponding exact values of cos⁡θ\cos \theta and tan⁡θ\tan \theta. Simplify your answers. (iii) Taking the smallest positive value of θ\theta from part (i), verify that sin⁡2 ⁣θ+cos⁡2 ⁣θ=1\sin^{2}\!\theta + \cos^{2}\!\theta = 1 by direct substitution of the exact values found.
