Problem

A wooden plank is fixed to form a smooth straight incline 10 m10\,\text{m} long which rises through an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} above the horizontal. A block of mass 2 kg2\,\text{kg} is placed at the top and released from rest. (i) Calculate the acceleration of the block along the plane. (ii) Determine the time taken by the block to reach the bottom of the incline. (iii) Find the speed of the block just as it reaches the bottom.
