Problem

Three infinitely long, straight conductors are placed at the corners of an equilateral triangle of side aa lying in the plane of the page. Each conductor carries a current II directed out of the page. (i) Derive an expression for the magnitude of the magnetic field at the centroid of the triangle. (ii) If the current in one of the conductors is reversed while the other two remain unchanged, determine the new magnitude and direction of the magnetic field at the centroid. (iii) Calculate the magnitude obtained in part (ii) for a=10 cma = 10\,\text{cm} and I=20 AI = 20\,\text{A}.
