Problem

Two vectors are given by u=⟨4,−1,2⟩\mathbf{u}=\langle 4,-1,2\rangle and v=⟨−3,5,1⟩\mathbf{v}=\langle -3,5,1\rangle. (i) Calculate ∣u∣|\mathbf{u}| and ∣v∣|\mathbf{v}|. (ii) Find u⋅v\mathbf{u}\cdot\mathbf{v}. (iii) Determine the angle between u\mathbf{u} and v\mathbf{v}, correct to one decimal place. (iv) State whether the angle obtained in part (iii) is acute or obtuse.
