Problem

Two point masses M1=3.0×1010 kgM_{1}=3.0\times10^{10}\,\text{kg} and M2=4.0×1010 kgM_{2}=4.0\times10^{10}\,\text{kg} are fixed 0.30 m0.30\,\text{m} apart in vacuum. A point PP is located exactly midway between them. (i) Find the gravitational potential at PP. (ii) Determine the gravitational potential energy of a 1 kg1\,\text{kg} test mass placed at PP.
