Problem

(a) For each of the following angles, reduce the given angle to its principal value lying in the interval 0≤θ<2π0 \le \theta < 2\pi. Write the principal value clearly in terms of π\pi. (i) −11π6-\dfrac{11\pi}{6} (ii) −5π4-\dfrac{5\pi}{4} (iii) 23π6\dfrac{23\pi}{6} (iv) −7π3-\dfrac{7\pi}{3} (b) State in which quadrant the principal value of each angle obtained in part (a) lies. (c) Using your answers to part (b), explain the sign (positive or negative) of sin⁡θ\sin\theta, cos⁡θ\cos\theta and tan⁡θ\tan\theta for each of the four angles given in part (a). Give reasons for every sign you state.
