Problem
Two small identical spheres carry charges of +3\,µC and +5\,µC, respectively, and are kept 0.20\,m apart in air.
(i) Calculate the magnitude of the electrostatic force acting on each sphere.
(ii) Keeping the charges unchanged, the distance between them is doubled. Calculate the new force.
(iii) The spheres are brought back to the original separation of 0.20\,m but the space between them is completely filled with a dielectric of relative permittivity 4. Determine the force in this situation.
