Problem

Point masses of 2 kg2\,\text{kg} and 18 kg18\,\text{kg} are placed 0.50 m0.50\,\text{m} apart on a straight line. Determine the position(s) on this line, measured from the 2 kg2\,\text{kg} mass, where a test particle would experience zero net gravitational field. Give your answer to two significant figures. Take G=6.67×10−11 N m2kg−2G = 6.67\times10^{-11}\,\text{N\,m}^2\text{kg}^{-2}.
