Problem

A car is to be tested on a perfectly level circular track. For safety reasons, the lateral (inward) acceleration felt by the driver must not exceed 0.30 g0.30\,g. (i) Obtain an expression for the minimum permissible radius of the track in terms of the maximum allowed speed vmax⁡v_{\max} and the given acceleration limit. (ii) Using the result of part (i), calculate the least radius required if the test speed is to be 90 km h⁻¹. (iii) Due to space constraints, the actual track radius is only 120 m. Determine the maximum speed (in km h⁻¹) at which the car may safely travel without the lateral acceleration exceeding 0.30 g0.30\,g. Show all steps clearly.
